Web Design

Image
This week we started on how to make our own web page so the unit was called web design. For web design it was somewhat easy and somewhat hard. We used a new program called Dreamweaver. To make a webpage on Dreamweaver, I had to follow directions that one of the teachers at my school had made. To make a webpage I had to do different steps. Something that I forgot to do with this project was to take screenshots. So my screenshots of my finished work. While we were making this project we had to answer some questions on a Word document. I think making this webpage was really fun and I would do it again some time if I could. This is what my webpage looks like when done.

Photoshop Projects

Image
Photoshop Project 1: Compass       We did a photoshop project in graphic design called a compass. This compass project was preety easy if you followed the directions and stayed on task. We had to take the Northwest compass and the word ONW and photoshop it into a picture of the outside of the school.  After we photos hoped it in we had to make the opacity smaller so that it looks like it is fading out. Photoshop Project 2: Monarch Butterfly      This photoshop project was called the monarch butterfly. This project we took a picture of a monarch butterfly and changed the color of the butterfly's wing to any color that we wanted. Once that was finished we had to make it look like the butterfly was flying so we used a tool called the clone stamp to clone the butterfly's wings.                                               ...

Personal Logo

Image
So in e-Comm we got to make our very own logos. My logo was balloons that have the letters of my name on each balloon. I think this comprehends with my life because I like balloons so that’s where I got the idea of balloons. To me the balloons symbolize that I like to have fun. Since I have different colors there is diversity in my logo like the Google logo. According to the color emotion guide the orange one means friendly, cheerful, and confidence. I am mostly friendly and cheerful but I am not a really confident person. The color red on the color guide means excitement, bold, and youthful. I believe I am an exciting kind of person and I also am youthful even when I get older I will always be a child at heart. Blue on the color guide means trust, strength, and dependable. I am a trustworthy and dependable person. I’m not really strong so I guess that trait won't work with me. Green on the color guide means peaceful, health, a...

Orthogonal Cubes

Image
In e-comm we used Adobe Illustrator to make this Orthogonal Cube. The Orthogonal cube was fun and easy to make. In e-comm I have been through two different sections of e-comm. I have been through the video part of e-comm and now I am in the graphic design part of e-comm.   The video branch part of the graphic design was when you filmed different “stories”. Then when you went to edit them you would use software called Final Cut Pro. In graphic Design what you do is you use Adobe Illustrator to make logos. In video we would work together as a team to make different videos for example in one project called “the chase scene” we had to collaborate as a team to come up with different ideas on how to make our “chase scene”.   In the graphic design part of e-comm we would work, as teams when you’re making a logo for a customer or something. You would need to make sure in your logo that it has everything that the customer wants in their logo design.

Anatomy

Image
I took a test to see what font describes me most and my results was the font plastica.  My word that go with my font are the words emotional, understated, traditional, and relaxed. These four words describe me because I am doing a lot of things in a traditional kind.  We also had to use our font type to write our name and what is included in my name. Some things that are included in my name are Cap Height, Bowl, Serif, Shoulder. Cap Height is the height of capital letters from the baseline to the top of caps. Bowl is a curved stroke which creates an enclosed space within a charter. Serif is the projections extending off the main strokes of the characters of serif typefaces. Shoulder the curved stroke of the letters h,m,n, and r. This unit that we just finished is called the anatomy of words.

Color Wheel

Image
This artwork that is shown above is called a color wheel that I have made myself. The color wheel was made in illustrator. There are three different sections of the color wheel. One section is called the primary colors which include the colors red, blue, yellow (Kansas Jay hawks Colors WHOOO). The next section is called the secondary colors which includes orange, green, and violet. The last section on the color wheel is the tertiary colors which is the primary and secondary colors mixed together. Some of the tertiary colors are blue-green, red-orange, and yellow-green. One thing to remember about tertiary colors is that you always start with the primary color's name.   The color wheel was easy and fun to make and I will also be using the color wheel more often. Colors can also be classified into different groups for example red and green are across from each other so they are complimentary which is colors that are right across from each other on the color wheel.  ...
